LSD (Lysergic acid diethylamide), a synthetic psychedelic drug first synthesized by Albert Hofmann in 1938. It was later discovered to have psychoactive properties in 1943 when Hofmann ingested it. LSD became popular in the 1960s counterculture movement, led by Timothy Leary and others. It is the most potent psychedelic substance in humans and belongs to the ergoline family of compounds. It is known as LSD-25 as it was the 25th derivative created from the ergot fungus.

How to take LSD

When it comes to taking LSD (acid). Ingesting it sublingually, or under the tongue, is commonly recommended, but some people find it uncomfortable, especially with thicker tabs. The time to hold the tab under the tongue varies, but it doesn’t greatly impact the trip. Some people personally prefer to swallow it without holding it sublingually and haven’t noticed a difference. However, keeping the acid under the tongue, especially for first-time users, is advised as it allows them to taste test the batch and avoid a bad taste.
